Working Shown ("we") publishes engineering explainers on Instagram and Facebook and runs this website, workingshown.xyz. This page explains what information we handle. Contact: hello@workingshown.xyz.

This website

• No accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
• The Lock Operator game saves your best score in your own browser (local storage). It is never sent to us.
• Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, time) for up to 30 days, for security and troubleshooting.

Our publishing app and social accounts

We use a Meta app, "Working Shown Publisher", and a self-hosted scheduling tool only to publish posts to our own Instagram account and Facebook Page. The app does not log you in and does not collect information about the people who view our posts.

If you like, comment on or message our posts, that information is held by Meta under Meta's privacy policy. We read public comments to reply and to correct mistakes. We may view aggregate statistics (such as views or reach) that Meta provides to page owners.

Your choices

We don't keep personal data about our audience. To ask a question or request deletion of anything we might hold about you, see data deletion or email hello@workingshown.xyz. If you are in the EU or UK you have rights of access, correction and erasure under the GDPR, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
